Post it Tuesday # 26 Some Good news ...

Finally ...

In other news ... (it was my brother's loo ...after a big poo ....Phew they didn't need to fish out the paper eeeeewww)

My new positive affirmation ...

Sorry I can't talk too much right now life is so busy, DH had an unrelated to 'C ' eye appointment, dentist appointment and then an appointment with Chemo Dr today... in 3 different locations, then we had to drop the boys off for minding ...pickup them up at 7.30pm scoring a free dinner ...thanks to my SIL.

We left home at 8.15am and got home at 9pm. The small boys also now look much bigger after their haircuts we squeezed in today too... I can't believe my babies are 47 months old.
Life is never short of eventful xoxo

Smiley Saturday

Lightening's post sure made me smile, I really needed it, because ...

I am sorry I haven't got much in me tonight I've got nothing much to smile about.

Well, that isn't true, really. It's more like...I have nothing new (not talking about the buy nothing challenge). I feel overwhelmed by so many things.

I feel guilty about mistakes I have made, things I don't do with my little boys and how I have been angry a lot lately. I am ashamed of the way my teen and I fight incessantly. I do my best not to win the 'game' and nag but even after 3 days at school camp he came home pressing all my buttons. I can't win.

I feel isolated and abandoned by friends ... I feel down and wanting. Some things I can't talk about on here. Some people. A lot of hurt.I am feeling a little down about lots of little things and a few big things but I know it will pass.

This, too, will pass.

Okay ... a few things that made me smile .

Though, I still haven't sorted about new glasses for S - after last Saturday's $crewup when my husband mowed them - S only had them a week . I did make a call today and a lovely lady whose little boy was born the same day as S & J - she understood (toddlers) and is going out of her way to help... I hope !

I found a new border trick (see below and Friday's post) for my images. Very cool. I will show you more tomorrow.

My favourite smiley thing is waking up every morning to the tousled hair and wide smiles of S & J -as they grapple trying to lift my shirt to nurse... and if they both wake together - to be the first. I can't help but smile ...even after only 4-5 hrs broken sleep.

Yes, I am still doing my 30 day challenge ...
Revive our heart

Day Eleven: (for yesterday because FireFox froze and blogger post verification was giving me grief)
"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord." Eph. 5:22
... it is all about respect and I have to keep working on this.
their suggestion ...Show your respect in public by listening to him and smiling at him when he speaks. Place your hand in his as you walk together.
Hmm harder with s & J now - but it is always sweet to see a couple holding hands.

Day Twelve:
"With all lowliness and gentleness, with long suffering, bearing with one another in love."
Eph. 4:2 ... He does !

Part of the difficulty you may face as you continue in this 30-day challenge to encourage your husband is that you really are struggling to find positive things to praise. Perhaps the problem is not with your husband. Have you checked your own heart?
I don't have a lack of things to praise - he is amazing.I just don't take the time to do it or I take it for granted the things he does. Part of my feeling down is about his long suffering ...I feel bad for making him suffer.

Blogger still have post word verification and I hate it ...why me!

Blogger in draft Scheduled Post - Future dated

Just a quick one...
I often write a few posts in advance especially when I know I have a busy week planned. Other times I get inspired by something so I will leave it sitting in draft until I need it.

For quite a while I've wanted to write a post now and have it automatically published at some time in the future. I heard a little bit about this feature for Blogger in the blogosphere and today I went Googling.

I am pleased to say that this feature is ready for you to try out on Blogger in draft.

I have been following Skelliewag for a while - No 1 in list of

Top 100 Australian Women Bloggers (click on the pink map of Australia)

Skelliewag has so many valuable tips and she shares them willingly. Her latest on Mar 2 was My #1 Tip for Creating Better Content: Write in Advance

It inspired me to check my options about setting them to future post during the week. Today ! I am trying to get organised remember and also ease the tension my dear husband feels when I stay up late posting instead of coming to bed.

You have to be logged into Blogger in Draft then your dashboard comes up like normal - I am testing it right now ...

I will see in a few minutes if it works. Fingers crossed.

Edited to add - IT WORKS !!!!! I AM SO EXCITED

Tweaking my blog template - any ideas ?

For quite a while I have been thinking about a new fresh look for my blog.

Today, I came across Smiler's creative blog. She has an awesome series on Blogger tips-Blogging 101.

I really liked her template and I started hunting around ... somehow I came upon this site

Compender now he has some really brilliant blogger technical information on 3 column templates. Which is what I am testing.

I also found this Blogger tips and tricks.

I am keen to keep playing around with Blogger because as much as I am envious of Wordpress themes and all the plugins and self hosting - I am reluctant to lose the ground I have made.

*sigh* what to do ?

So do you like this theme/template ?

It has taken me a few hours to edit the template. It is still a work in progress. I have a lot of de-cluttering and re arranging to do tomorrow.

I also have it on my to do list to get a pretty header ... any ideas welcome - please !

So there you have it.

It's your turn ... give a girl some directions and save me a few detours or disasters.

ETA - One more link Dummies Guide for Beta Blogger. I have only had the chance to browse a few of these but they seem very informative.

An old dog learns new tricks ... and an old dog

The last few days I have been learning a few new tricks and all about chicklets and widgets, rss and Google reader.

I discovered I do have feed burner readers (thank you to 32 people - I am honoured). I subscribed to a whole of blogs but I didn't know how to access them easily. I do now. Before it was hit and miss. I am sorry to the people I have neglected.I also re-directed my blogger rss to feed burner... at least that is what i think I did. I saw a jump in my readers on the stats yesterday too. I have along way to go to crossing the 10,000 reader milestone.

So now I am off on a mission to add more blogs to my Google reader.I have so much to learn. I am seriously thinking about changing to Wordpress ... well next year.

I have been so busy of late NaBloPoMo... and I feel my precious little guys need me more than I need to fiddle with my blog stuff. They have been into everything and while I secretly say horrid little things about them (to myself) - when they rip yet another lift the flap book or mildly important papers, steal my phone, keys, camera or wallet, bite me while nursing, climb and stand on the furniture, escape the $160 playpen, remove their nappies, throw clean washing all over the house, explore the toilet, refuse to eat & throw food at each other and on the floor, unpack the bag I just packed to go out and generally trash the house and that's just today - I still think I will keep them.

I might just keep him too ... though at the moment we clash terribly... *sigh*I am a mean mum and he is now 14 going on 40 who thinks he has all the answers. The babies adore him.

I digress , yes, we do have an old dog - Patch is now 11 yrs old. We gave him to our son D on Christmas day 11 yrs ago - D was 3yrs old and Patch was barely 5-6 wks old, with a belly full of worms (eeewww) . He was a wee scrap of a thing - 'heinz' Blue cattle/heeler dog mix. We played out the Rod Campbell story " Dear Zoo".
A boy writes to the zoo for a new pet ... and they send him a variety of animals - I wrapped small toys/plastic animals and lastly they sent him ... in basket can you guess ? and we presented the dog to him in a picnic basket.

Playing -fetch the ball is his favourite past-time but he gets puffed quicker now. I will have to find a photo tomorrow of him now. S & J love to throw the ball too ... but they only get it a metre of so.Poor Patch he gets so excited for nothing. D wanted to call him Pat (after Postman Pat... but unfortunately(yes it's true) my MIL lived in a little house/flat attached to our house and her name was *P a t xxxxx ... (almost the same as mine). LOL we knew she wouldn't appreciate it. Here 'Pat' ... yelled out !

By the way, Patch still loves her (and remembers her car - we know she is driving up the drive by the way he gets so excited in anticipation) even after 7 yrs since she/we moved.
She was his best ball thrower ever.
*The same name thing now that is a blog for another day.
Heads & Tails follows ...
