Seven

Seven years ago  - we stood on the threshold - the IVF roller-coaster. I started the stimulation injections the next day, July 1st 2005 and I wrote my first blog post.

Today is a momentous day we (note plural) started our stimulation injections to grow the egg(s) that could become our maybe baby (or babies)

How could I have known one year exactly to the day later !

Six years ago ...we welcomed our little miracles to earth  part 1 and part 2.

Right in the middle of the World Cup at 35 wks and 4 days. 

Five years ago ... a double first birthday celebration

Two years ago ...then they were four.

This birthday, my husband was undergoing his own journey with cancer . He was 2.5 weeks into 6 weeks of radiation. It was a very quiet birthday this year.




One year ago -

I am so grateful for my cherubs , every day they are my reason for living. 

They bring magic to every day and sunshine in every smile.

Grateful for Husbands, founds and even my Mother in law

Today I am grateful because my husband found our misplaced OFFICE computer discs. I needed them to install on my new laptop (the one I won thanks to Lenovo and Sarah@Ah, the possibilities) . They were somewhat buried in the garage (inside boxes ), stuff packed ready to go into storage.

I was able to finish some business stuff so it was very helpful. We didn't find the MYOB discs so I had to purcha$e an upgrade for that.

The biggest thing I am grateful about is that OFFICE picture manager makes it so easy to compress pictures - to upload to my posts. I was having trouble with the basic Windows installed program.

Still, in the process of finding those Discs - it led to a bigger project which has taken mu Hubby 3 days. Most of our boxes are now being stored off the premises now.

My nose is very grateful for soft Kleenex tissues this week (and last). I could have used a year supply of them too.

Today is my Mother in laws 80th birthday. I may not see eye to eye with her on everything though we have a good relationship. She is a kind and generous with advice everything.

I am most grateful she birthed the love of my life- my husband and raised him to be a loving, caring , househandy man - he loved to clean and vacuum as a boy. We are having a family celebration dinner tonight and her daughter has arranged  a high tea afternoon for her with her older friends from the retirement village.
MMM I guess it means we will have CAKE tonight too.

Grateful for the Things I know

I know it's been a busy week in our household ; three birthdays over in flash. (I still don't understand why some people get so antsy when I want to stop the proceeding to take photos of my KIDS or my cakes - 'pfft' to them)

... I am overwhelmed by ALL the lovely messages sent to me for my birthday yesterday on FB & twitter.It gives a warm fuzzy feeling to know that people took the time to send me a greeting. Thank you  ! . I really appreciated it ,whether URL friends or IRL friends, I heart you. I can't wait to meet some URL's friends in Melbourne.

... no matter how many new toys my boys got they would still rather play with my stuff (iPod)  and rearrange all my apps & utilities; or make a billy cart for their soft toys out a cardboard old box and the laces from the jigsaw.

...we are still eating party food . I over catered because a few people couldn't make it last Saturday and we didn't know they weren't coming.Then other visitors cancelled through the week. It was all good though.

....my school friends and their hubs loved sharing the Freddo cake with me last night who would have though 40+ somethings would enjoy Freddo icecream cake so much LOL. They had a choice of chocolate cake too.

... Max Brenner could easily drain our meagre bank account .

...it was such decadent and lovely birthday treat. I know that it was worth every $ (next time I'll take my own marshmallows and extra strawberries because my little monsters ate most of mine).

... I have some dear  friends who want nothing more than a partner and children but LIFE didn't go to plan. One in particularly struggles with severe depression because of it. I wish I could take away her sadness. It was lovely to spend some time with her twice this week. My boys love her.



Today , I am so grateful for my life, my family and my friends. I am constantly reminded that despite all the things I could whinge about I have so much to be thankful for - so I won't. Just it makes it harder to blog :) .

I also attended an event in the city this week. The homeless & destitute people do make me sad and very grateful. I hope I can give to organisations that help them.

Life can change in an instant and people you love can leave you.

Friday Facebook Flog #5

It's my birthday today so what better way to celebrate than with my community of URL friends.

I'll see my IRL friends tonight hopefully , 2 great friends I went to high school with and their husbands. We are get along well.

Birthdays are great even when you get to my age.

Birthdays are good for you -statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.
