Thankful for Heartfelt

Today I am thankful to be welcoming in Spring though it is always a day we will never forget.

Seven years ago , we said hello and goodbye ♥ to our daughter Charlotte Rose ♥ fly free little one.

Every whisper of a breeze, every butterfly I see, a kiss of sun on my face and the scent of the roses in our garden , reminds me ... not just today but always.

As time goes by, the tears may roll less often, but each 1 still feels the same, love mingled with loss ♥

I am thankful for the heartfelt messages I have received. I appreciate it more than I can say. I treasure each comment made and consider it a thoughtful act of friendship. I know that as time passes people forget and it hurts.

One of my regrets is that we have so few photos of Charlotte and even us with her. At the time we didn't think or never even considered photographic memories. The Midwife did take a few photos , blurry and grainy, none the less precious.

In recent years an organisation called Heartfelt , was born, after a family experienced the loss of their own child .

Heartfelt is the giving of photographic memories.

Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of professional photographers from all over Australia dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses.

Heartfelt is dedicated to providing this gift to families in a caring, compassionate manner.

All services are provided free of charge.

OH, I'm so sorry I didn't realise it was today. I knew it was coming up. Love to you as you remember your precious girl. I think that Heartfelt is one of the most phenomenal organisations. A friend of mine used them when they lost their 8 year old to cancer. In the days before he died, Heartfelt came in and got some beautiful black and white shots, they were stunning. They are his mother's (his father died of cancer a few years later) most prized possession.

Aw sweet Trish, my thoughts are with you and your family today. I can't imagine the pain you must carry especially on anniversaries like today.

Sending you love and hugs today trish. I have never heard of heartfelt. I went and looked at the links you had and the photos taken are beautiful and while i cried my eyes out looking at them because i really can only imagine what it feels like to have to say goodbye at that moment. Oh Trish, seven years. What a beautiful post for your beautiful Charlotte Rose. Thinking of you all today.

Heartfelt is an inspirational organisation, and one that we too never got a chance to utilise, our little one also leaving us almost 7 years ago. Despite that, I am so glad you have some pictures of her, ones that will always be cherished. xxx

Thinking of you today and happy to hear you have a few photos of Charlotte. Hope others utilise the service of Heartfelt - a wonderful organisation. My friend lost her baby in October last year and the photo she has of G moments before she took her last breath is just beautiful. My sister in-law who lost her daughter over 20 years ago has no photos. She didn't get to hold her or say a proper goodbye - because back then it just wasn't the done thing - and that makes me so sad. Love to you and your family on this difficult anniversary xxx

Lots of love to you, hon! When I birthed my first baby almost 23 years ago (at 18 weeks gestation), I didn't get to see or hold the baby - I wasn't told what sex she or he was, though I always think of the baby as "she" - so much has changed in the intervening years and I think only for the better. I'm so grateful an organisation such as Heartfelt exists, it has now helped two mothers I know who lost their darlings before they even got a chance to know them outside the womb. I share your thankfulness for Heartfelt!
