An update ...

So, it wasn't the news we were expecting.

It's not ... though my husband will have to undergo further treatment to beat his cancer. The journey to hope has begun.

Life is still good. My husband isn't sick . Of course we are scared ...
even terrified as we stand on the threshold of this new bridge to cross. It might be a long & winding road but we are not alone.

Never miss a post

My favourite is good old Psalm 103:2-5 "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."

Take comfort from Jeremiah 30:17 "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord."

You are in our prayers.

I will will be praying. My father isn't sick either, but he went through a very long year, last year with throat cancer. He is cancer-free now, but still has many side effects from the chemo and radiation. Stay tough. It isn't easy, but worth it.

My dad had prostate cancer (at age 64) and we felt the same way you do.

Peace and Prayers.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Praying for your family.

My Aunt who is like my second mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in August and we are watching her slowly slip away from us breaking my heart daily.

Romans 15:13 "So I pray that God, who gives hope, will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in him. May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."

It's the one thing I learned durning my Aunt's battle never let them take your hope. If you let the medical world take that then you have nothing left.

Be strong and remember to take care of yourself and be his advocate.

Thinking of you & your family.. I have not had any close experience with cancer patient, so I don't know what it's like. I can only pray for a smooth and quick healing for your husband...
