Grateful ~ Friends

I missed posting on Saturday. It just felt wrong to me , on a few levels, after reading the incredible support being rallied for Lori.

Each time I tried I couldn't find the right words to say (write) because the thing I was most grateful for was my beloved husband and family. I felt so guilty for the times I've been less than loving and haven't been so tolerant of things lately beyond his control.

Today I am grateful
  • That I'm able to watch and be awe inspired by the online community ... I know some people don't get it , our online friends we have never met that matter so much . Still thinking of Lori and her family today and #praying for Tony.
  • For a surprise catching up with my friends from over 22yrs ago, essentially because of a FB chat with another friend. A lot has happened in 22yrs but they still showed the same warmth and generosity, gave the biggest hugs, and have same laugh out loud sense of humour.
  • Even better they live in the Central West rural community we are moving too and that makes my heart sing. We will have friends. They have adult children but a dozen grandchildren and another 2 on the way so they love kids.Their home looks like a creche with oodles of toys/books/bikes and trampolines. My small boys loved visiting them. They are such special people who love God and his people to bits.
  • For unconditional love of my special husband, my dearest friend, whose strength in all the challenges we have faced in the last year continues to lift me up every day.
So, what's making you smile today?
... add your Grateful post below it's a blog hop .Please add a link back to Maxibella in your post. Blog hop to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine.

Never miss a post

Was it the recent flooding that has caused you to think of moving? I am glad that you will have friends where you're going to, that makes a lot of difference in a new place.

Its so desperately scary what is happening to Lori and her family right now, but it does make me think about the power of the internet and being so grateful for that support from virtual strangers. xS

@Carol - no it was flooding in the rural community where we are moving this year.
The farm was mainly hit by inundation /flash flooding of the creek (& river in town)- made everything boggy.
We spend a weekend or 3-4 so a fortnight up there. The farm didn't flood as such just had a lot of water running off and huge puddles at the door and everywhere.
We still live in Sydney at moment.
I heard G in under flood alert praying for our family who live there & you too.Their house is only a few m above the 99 flood height and they are very worried.

@Sarah - so true. I been a recipient myself and the support is appreciated in times of great trials. Just to know you are not alone even if the people are miles away is a comfort.

@Carol - yes , my friends -it is an answer to prayer because I 'worried' it would be hard to make friends being so isolated on a farm with no neighbours close by.Their church was so welcoming too.

Really lovely gratefuls!
Friends are what makes the world go round aren't they...I caught up with some school friends recently after 20 years - and in a funny way it was as though no time had passed at all :-)

The online community is just awesome :)

Helps to have a friend or two in the area when you are making that big a move
