Very exciting to be invited into the cockpit! I seem to recall the same thing happening to me as a kid but I can't remember where we were. I was in awe of all the switches and dials and wondered how on earth they knew how to fly the thing! :-)

I took my first plane ride {well first one I remember} at 12 and the pilot took us into the cockpit for take off it was awesome. Not sure if they're allowed to do that on big flights anymore given all the terrorist laws now.

That is awesome. I didn't think they allow people in the cockpit anymore. The boys must have thought it to be very cool!
