Ouchy! It will all be worth it in the end and it will get less uncomfortable within a short time. One of my twins had braces! :-)

His brother needs braces in a few years - my Sister inlaw just got the quote for my nephew $6500 (her daughters were $5100 each)

It is a jaw expander thingy and neither have I.
He is doing so well with it though he sound slike he has a mouth full of marbles when he talks.
I think I'd be whining.

Ahh that looks painful! I think my 8 yr boy may need braces, but i hear they can affect the shape of your face..
