Wordless Wednesday : A stitch in time

A quilt will warm your body and comfort your soul. ~Author Unknown

Dubbo Vintage Machinery and Truck show - Quilt exhibition for the ladies ;)

So much love and talent for their craft.

Dozens of quilts - hours upon hours of stitching, painting and piecing together memories.

It is not one of my talents either Steph - the talent was breathtaking.
I am in awe of how patient and talented people are to create these quilts. We have a quilt festival type thing in town around March and the quilts are amazing. I wouldn't know where to begin haha

What amazing quilts. I wish I could sew. Luckily my mother in law is good with quilting and has made my three girls the most gorgeous quilts.

I applaud the people who have the skills and patience it takes to make a quilt. I don't think I'd ever be able to do it (not just because I can't sew).

I have a couple of quilts on my Wordless Wednesday post today too - snap! I think my favourites are the one of 3 kitties (of course!) and the purple flowers on the black background.

I quilted once upon a time. Before children! But it makes me appreciate the hours of love that go into quilts. These are just beautiful!

Have a wonderful day!

There sure are some talented people out there, I don't have the patience to quilt... but I used to knit, until i kept on doing it way to tight and it was almost impossible to get the yarn off the needles!
Wow, Beautiful quilts. I went on a tour of Ronald McDonald House Canberra last year (I run a charity event that raises money for it) and there are quilts hanging there. So beautiful. Plus the ladies group that makes the quilts actually make them for each family who stay at RMHC to have on their beds and if the family wishes to, they can take their quilt home. It's such a beautiful, warm, comforting and "homey" thing to do. I love it!

Hours of patience right there! Beautiful!
These are lovely. I cannot sew a stitch and now I regret not taking the time to learn. So much time and patience in them.
