Imagine if ...

Picture yourself ...on an idyllic island.
See yourself on the sun-drenched and bleached white sands.

Gaze in awe at the blue, blue sea.
Imagine what you are wearing, the relaxed way you are lying , or walking on this beach at sunset.

Feel the breeze flowing through your hair.
Hear the soft roar of gentle waves lapping the beach.

Note the calm smile on your face ...
now this is where I want to be.

Now imagine yourself ...what it feels like to be there!

It's been raining here today. Not that I complaining we need the rain and it is filling our water tank.

Later, I plan on being a top mum because I'll let the muddy brothers out to jump in the puddles and fling some mud.
The Silver lining ...  when you are close to the ground
"The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful." ~E.E. Cummings
I guess we all know how much fun mud flinging is ...

"Are you feeling, feeling, feeling like I'm, feeling
Like I'm floating, floating, up above that big blue ocean
Sand beneath our feet, big blue sky above our heads,
No need to keep stressing from our everyday life on our minds
We have got to leave all that behind"

-At the beach, The Avett brothers

What have you got planned this weekend ?

That trumps a little mud flinging and puddle jumping LOL - have fun !
Wet day here, so cooking and pottering and playing with kids - not being super cool mum, but a good enough one...

Sounds great to me Jeanie - what are you cooking ?
We've also been cleaning their room and right now the twins are self serving themselves CAFE thick raisin toast with peanut butter and Nutella (or Aldi rip off) on uncooked raisin toast . I was cleaning out my inbox and they were hungry :)
We went out to the shops this morning so the kids got to spend some pocket money. Now we are all taking it easy and having a relax. I think it will be a nice quiet one for us this weekend. Hope the boys enjoy the mud!

I bet your children enjoyed the retail excursion Kirsty.
They will - right before bath time.
I love your photos and the idea of being on that beautiful, sunny beach! (I have a houseful of sick kids and it's damp and dreary here, so we're just watching movies and reading books.)
wonderful pics! :)
My recent post just one pic # 26 - tasty stars
Oh how I wish I was on a beach or jumping in a puddle right now!
I spent the morning at my son's therapy group, and then collecting fresh leaves for the possums I have in care at the moment after lunch. Nothing exciting.
Nothing else on for the rest of the weekend though, which I'm loving the thought of! Might snuggle down with a wine and a movie tonight with hubby, and then a nice lazy day tomorrow.
Wouldn't mind being on that beach though.....

Wow.. happiness..
Hahaha, those muddy photos made me giggle!
This weekend is a bit of a boring one for us.
Housework, planning, you know, the usual stuff.
Hoping my MonsterSquad behave themselves tomorrow so we can get some more things done around the house!
Jac xoxo

You must have had such a great time! I really like flying kites on the beach, that's such a great pleasure! I bet your son has enjoyed it as well!
imagining... and it is lovely.

LOVE the pics of the boys. LOVE.

I want to play in the mud too!

Sadly I have too much boring adult stuff instead. *sigh*

We were supposed to be camping, so would have been playing in the mud, but we pulled the pin with all this rain. Had a weekend pottering around sorting out cupboards, buying snow gear, playing on the Wii and building Lego.
What lovely pics. We're gearing up for a school fete in the wet. Should be interesting...
I thought the first pics were pretty damn magical, and then I saw your little boys faces and THAT was the magic. Oh I just adore muddy, grinning happy little guys xx
