Lego City - Team up to Catch the Crooks ~ GIVEAWAY

Uh on it is villain alert !

LEGO® City

The baddies crooks have stolen all the gold from LEGO® City and are now hiding in the Forest. It’s up to the City police and the Forest police to team up to catch the mischief-makers and restore the peace and bring justice to LEGO City.

It is no wonder Lego has been popular with boys and girls , Mums , Dads and gift givers alike for 50 years ~ Did you know 2012 is the 50th Anniversary of the LEGO brick in Australia.

LEGO City is based on the re-creation of everyday life scenes . LEGO has just introduced 13 exciting new products into their range including Forest Police, Forest Fire and Great Vehicles.

Lego is fabulous for encouraging kids to use their imagination with enhanced role-play. I get so many laughs watching my boys play LEGO together. I also laugh when they step on Lego they have left on the floor !

Watching the intense concentration as they work out which bit goes where and waiting for them to ask for help - it is a great way to bond with my boys. Free play or following numbered 'instructions' besides inspiring imaginative play, it's great for their fine motor skills and teaching opportunities (about Police)
The Forest Police and Forest Fire crews have the optimum to catch and cuff the pesky robbers and team up to fight the fires. With patrol cars and quad bikes the villains won’t stand a chance against the Police hotshots who promise to save the day!
The Forest Fire team will be the first on the scene to fight the fires, with powerful fire ATV’s, trucks and planes to extinguish the flames and keep LEGO City safe. Prices range from a pocket money friendly RRP$7.99 for the Fire ATV to RRP$119.99 for the awesome Forest Police Fire Station.

The LEGO play experience and opportunity to role play is even more enhanced with a new concept called Great Vehicles recently introduced into the LEGO City range. It boasts great vehicles for your little BIG heroes! Products include the Ambulance, Garbage Truck, Dirt Bike Transporter, Tipper Truck and Caravan. Starting at RRP $29.99.

My boys love their LEGO and the new tipper truck is one of the favourite - It even tips just like Grandpa's.

In my opinion LEGO City Great Vehicles are great value for money perfect for gifts or anytime treats!

Each individual piece vehicle adds to the LEGO City scape collection . A collection that most families will want to keep forever.
Older kids can also team up in a cool online game to help the LEGO City Police and Forest Fire crews catch the crooks at www.LEGO.com
What boy (or girl)  doesn’t want to become the hero of their very own LEGO City ?

My husband and I are both huge Lego fans, and so are our kids. I recently went to my parents and retrieved all my sets because with 5 people all trying to play, we didn't have enough to go around. I can remember playing with it as kids. We used to make Anzac day parades, and even did the Olympics one time. I would love to win the pack because we spend so much time playing Lego together as a family.

Lovely post featuring your little engineers :) My boys play Lego for hours although at the moment we are limited to a few vehicles so there are still many arguments!! Adding a couple more to our fleet would be fantastic, and since BamBam is always the "crook" a few more pursuit vehicles would definitely come in handy ;P Thanks x

Master four used to point to every single Lego box in the toy aisle and ask longingly "can we get that one?", "what about this one?".
The new request is "can you pass me that box please, I just need to look at the back of it. Wow, mum, look at this. No, actually look at it mum". Then I can put that box back and pass him another. And so the ritual continues at the next store....
To say he is Lego obsessed is an understatement. (But I really like it too so actually don't mind)
We love lego too! My boys play with the duplo that was mine when I was a kid & Mr 4 has started using my "little lego" too. I love building together - Mr 4 is really into making transformers & crazy trucks (ie trucks using pieces from different vehicles). We would love to win this set to add to our "little lego" collection :)

Hi Trish. I know I'll never win the "Mother of the Year" award especially after my son's Prep teacher fell off her chair when I told her that my 5 yo son had never had a piece of Lego in our house, ever! Same with my 7 yo daughter. I refused to bring it in to the house to put more holes in the soles of my feet which I've got from toy cars, My Little Pony/Littlest Pet Shop 'daggers' they call toys etc. He's been on a promise to stay out of the Principal's office for the entire first term and with 3 days to go, I think he might make it so winning this will save me having to buy it. I know I'll be in for it then because I heard Lego mates like crazy.

I'd honestly want it for my son. He's a total and complete Lego fanatic. His dad prefers him to get the Star Wars series, but E just likes to build. He's not into the instructions, so sets like this are better. He can use his imagination more, because the sets are designed for more than one purpose (usually).

My son has only just started to take an interest in Lego, and all I can say is it's about time!,I remember having hours of fun playing lego with my brother when we were kids!. I've been looking forward to the day my son and I could "build" our relationship and I really want to play again!

I love all these comments about their little boys who love Lego, but my little Miss 2 is the Lego mad one in our house! She loves to build and mostly uses the Duplo blocks at the moment, but when she gets her hands on my nephews 'little Lego' she goes wild! Also, anything with wheels is a winner with her!
My own favourite memory of Lego is when my sister and I would make Lego towns at the beginning of every school holiday break, ready to play with for weeks - it was always really sad having to break it down on the last night before going back to school, but by then Mum was ready to have her dining table back :)
My favourite memory is of playing with my brother, who it 7 years older than me, and his amazing lego castle collection. I would have been about 5 at the time (my dad and brother moved out soon after when my parents separated) and it is one of the fondest memories I have of doing something fun with him. He had such a fantastic collection, it was great fun to play with and make believe I was a princess in one of the castles :)
We spent a long time the other day talking about how lego was a toy for everyone - not girls, not boys, not big boys....everyone.
Its brings us together
That's why we love it so
My son has those Mr Bump glasses too!!

I would love to win the lego set as playing with lego is the only time my 2 children (5 year old boy and 3 year old girl) play nicely together! It gives me some time on my own and they build master-pieces! I would love some more piece and quiet in the house!

In the 'Pursuit' of fun, educational toys that I don't have to 'Police', I like the 'Concept 'of children's imaginations being challenged as they grow, in a way that they never have to 'Lego' of their childhood!

Wow - what a great giveaway!! I spent many hours in my childhood playing with Lego and also some not so happy hours fighting with my sibling about Lego! Would love to win this so the tradition can follow for my kids.
My favourite Lego memory is of a friends house. She had an entire table devoted to Lego, and it was set up perfectly! I remember so envious (even though I wasn't a huge Lego fan!)

Just watching the kids with my Dad as they built with the Lego. He's not a demonstrative man, but he is so patient & eager to teach and explain. They bonded over Lego. It doesn't get much better than that.

I remember as a kid spending hours with my brother building castles and spaceships. He was the best builder he was just nice enough to let his little sister join in the fun. It occupied hours of our time. I would love my son to now have the same fun as I use to have. You can definaetly bond over lego.
I remember spending many an hour when i was younger playing with lego... Ok so i still spend many an hour playing with lego now but it is with my children. I love watching them play and use their imagination with it. My oldest is growing out of Lego preferring to build and display the large Star Wars Lego while my 3rd child is just getting into Lego (outgrowing duplo) and loves to build and drive his creation (trucks and ambulance/fire vehicles mainly) around his created world.
I'd love to be able to give him these Lego sets and watch his imagination grow during play (and play with him :) )
How adorable are your boys, Trish? Gosh I am back blogging after five months away and I see that you have gone through lots of changes and are living in a new place. So glad for you and I hope its all going well. I love tree changes and have gone through one myself. Are you going to Nuffnangs Bloggers forum in June? I am not with them but thought the conference may be good as I know no other Aussie bloggers. Loved this post although dont have any need for Lego at this point so hope it goes to some very lucky child.

Coming from a family of girls - Lego wasn't something we were interested in. We visited family one year with lots of lego, and they taught us how to booby trap the bedroom and put lego pieces all around the room, that the parents would then stand on in the dark when they came in to say goodnight! It gave us much amusement to see the parents hopping around from standing on those sharp little lego pieces. As a mother to boys I've always remembered this lesson - so have bought a lego table to try to avoid to trap!
My son turned 5 in January. We have only just started with Lego in our household, having spent several years in a blissful Thomas the tank Engine wilderness. Thomas is still much loved, and his steamie and diesel friends still find their way under my feet often, but he is slowly becoming an old cherished friend we don't catch up with as much as we used to. Enter... the magical world of Lego. I really have to love toys that my 5 year old son and his 6 year old sister both play with..together...constructively, creatively, happily, and....without fighting!!!! And I have to say I am amazed that even though many pieces are tiny we have not lost anything (well, not that I know of, anyway) and the storage box that one of his bigger birthday sets came in has a lego lid so when I do find a piece on the floor I just stick it on the lid (oh yay for lazy old mum!). I am so looking forward to expanding our collection that I am buying them both a little set each with their easter gifts (and no, we are not wealthy, there will be just a bit less chocolate than usual). Tank you for the opportunity to win this great prize!
I'd love this for my autistic son. He loves lego, all kinds of transport and it also helps with his fine motor skills.

My favourite Lego memory is the Christmas before last when Boo got 4 sets and the day was spent putting them all together as an extended family, only stopping to play a little Kinect or eat turkey.

It was awesome.

My recent post And that is all I have to say about that.
