When do you start feeling Christmassy Giveway ?

Fruit Mince Tarts

Hasn't this year flown ...
Every year when the shops begin to 'decorate' and start to 'sell' Christmas in September, I shake my head in disbelief ; it gets earlier every year.
For me December 1st heralds the begining of that special Christmas feeling.

Well this year it did especially as it was our Preschool christmas concert eve.
I feel a deep abiding glow remembering the child like joy of years gone by.

Anticipation of bright Christmas tree bling and all that food.

I try to start decorating the house, drag out the Christmas tree & ornaments.
This year my littlest are old enough to understand about letters to Santa and not forgetting also the true meaning of Christmas the birth of Jesus so we are following an Advent Christmas calendar with bible verses and activities (thanks to be a fun mum).

Christmas means good things arriving in the postbox.
The Christmas carol'ers breaking into song ... I start thinking about Christmas treats...eating more than baking ;) myself.

The other day a courier arrived with a special delivery.
I came home from shopping to find my bemused hubby with two boxes of Baker's Delight tarts freshly baked and delivered ...Fruit Mince tarts & Lemon Tarts.

He didn't dare touch them * and had no idea why they were being delivered ...

I was delighted to be asked to review Baker's Delight Fruit Mince & Lemon Tarts and host a Baker's Delight giveaway.

I have 5 vouchers for 5 readers to try their choice of a 6 box of Fruit Mince Tarts or Lemon Tarts.

Oh my nom , nom ...

This dozen barely lasted the day out. The shortcrust pastry , lovely lattice top on the zesty lemony tarts was irresistable.

Opps there goes the last one ...

The Fruit mince tarts too the perfect inspiration to start feeling even more festive.A Christmas favourite with moist, fruit filling encased within a buttery, light shortcrust pastry.

Perfect by themselves dusted with icing sugar, topped with icecream, cream or thick brandy custard or the healthier altenative a dollop of yoghurt.

A delicious any time of the day treat ...just be careful not to eat the lot or you'll look like Mrs Claus. They are the perfect gift for Santa or hungry boys.

They come gift boxed ... so I know they will make the prefect gift when dropping in on friends for a pre - Christmas visit, mothers'/playgroup morning tea in between now & Christmas.
It's really beginning to feel like Christmas.

I saw boxes of them walking away from Baker's delight when I went shopping Saturday in Dubbo.

Don't wait to buy your first batch! Bakers Delight expects fruit mince & lemon tarts to fly out of stores following record sales last year.

Or to enter my giveaway - tell me what identifies your key Christmas moment. When is that exact time that you start feeling in the Christmas spirit?

Winners will be chosen by random org - closes Sunday Dec 12th 23.59 pm

(*I hadn't had a chance to mention the tarts might arrive since he only got home Wednesday night, then it was 5 second rush to get boys changed and everyone back out the door for the preschool Christmas concert. The next morning I left home early to rush to shops to buy a Navity..)
Never miss a post

i think for me it is when the buzz starts, you know, people saying 'have you done your Christmas shopping? i've pulled out the tree! uncle jim will be coming up from sydney...help! etc. then the carols start playing in the supermarket and i find myself humming along...it's all good.

In September when I receive my first Christmas Card from a very dear old lady who likes to send her cards out early.....It seems when she sees the cards and decorations in the shops she gets right into the spirt...This year the little darling sent me another in October.....God Bless her Little Cotton Socks!

For me Christmas starts when we put up our tree. We wait until the whole family can come over and spend a few hours of fun and laughter as well as sing along to a few Christmas tunes.

On the first day of December, the tree goes up, the children open their first advent gift. That is when the anticipation and excitement really hits.
