Less Word Wednesday

I decided to make an impromptu cake at 6pm last night because we had the boys Grandpa (lives 5mins) and Aunty K (over 1000 kms away down from Queensland) coming over for dinner to help celebrate.
Even though we had the big cake on Sunday. It was banana choc cake ...mmm.

All they wanted to do was gobble the Smarties from the top and grab the candle.

I also wanted each of them to have a turn at 'Happy Birthday' being sung to them alone.
As twin they will always share a birthday but it is good to let them have the limelight alone for a few minutes.

Never miss a post

Very cool cake and what a special way to celebrate. I think you are doing it right to let them have their own time in the spotlight...they will thank you for it in he end!

Those look like very nice cakes! If all they wanted to do was eat stuff of the top that leaves more cake for the rest of you! ;)

Great idea to sing to each of them individually.

Hope you can stop by – my post is here.

Very cool!! My girls are Irish twins and they are subjected to one bday song. Does that make me a rotten mom, or just a lazy one? *lol* No, seriously...it's great that you make each of them special!!

And I'm sorry I'm late, but happy bday to your boys!!

You are a very wise mother to give each make each of your boys feel individual and important.

Oooh yummy cake! I like that you sing to them seperately.

you are such a wonderful mum - as the boys grow older and seek their individual places in the world, theyw ill appreciate the little things you do like singing happy birthday to them separately :)

We sing happy birthday to each of the twins, also. Double birthdays are such fun!
I hope you all enjoyed your share of the limelight.

You can NEVER have too much cake...or too many Smarties

That is a great looking cake - specially for an "impromptu" one.

I have tagged you for a meme by the way...
