I'm going to Boot Camp ~ with Operation Move it Giveaway

 GIVEAWAY with Op-MOVE

Last week after another grateful trip around the sun ...I'm counting down to a big one. It's scary moving into the next drop down box. The silver lining is new opportunities for older chicks and the being the youngest in my age category.

As I mentioned a few times - in 3 wks On August 9th - I will run the 14km City to Surf for National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Then four weeks later I'll back up for hopefully - 21km Half marathon at Dubbo Stampede...well I will be signing up by 3rd August.

In between,  I'm also paddling with my Dragon boat team in 13km race at Master's Games in Cairns - as I'm one of the youngest in my team I only get one race, most of the 50-60'-70's yr olds get two x 13km races.

I was wondering what training plans I should be following to get myself fitter and stronger , to take back my life after 3yrs of cancer treatment traveling a few bumpy roads.

I'm very unmotivated in winter ; add the cold, dark and rain ... so tempting to pull the covers back over my head.

Digressing here ...did you get snow ? Who runs in the snow ?

I'm determined to reduce my risk of reoccurance so I stay active, it helps with my mood and anxiety too. Running keeps my bone density stonger and I've started on basic weights too at the gym and body weight at home.

Living 20mins out of town makes it challenging to slot in exercise every day at the GYM . Now I have a plan to work out at home too.

I was lucky to be offered a chance for a 6 week e-course - Bootcamp beginning August 1st with Operation Move .

I really need to win this, I've only recently been given the go ahead to start exercising after more than a year off due to health issues and thanks to health issues, I'm really out of shape and not sure where to start. Getting fit and as healthy as I can possibly be, is really important to me.

You have had a bumpy patch too Raychael. I was out of shape due to health issues, it really sends us haywire.
For a foot in the backside to keep my bum moving. I seriously lack motivation and my mind plays tricks on me, the minute I plan on being good, eating right and exercising daily, my body decides it needs cream or chocolate laden indulgences (& I don't even have a sweet tooth). I'm by no means fat or overweight, if that's the politically correct term to use, but I do have some hail damage (cellulite) and bits that need firming up in time for my baby brother's wedding mid-September.

I am at upper limits if my weight range , and everything is too tight - except the wobbly bits I need firming up too. Good luck.
After 7 years of no regular cardio exercise (asides from running around after children etc) and having had medical issues the last 2 years (still not 100% sorted) I really want to start getting fit again - my hubby is so fit (he surfs, runs, swims) and me, well i can hardly walk around our acreage without huffing and puffing (i play with the kids on the trampoline for short time and then need a rest) - i seriously need some motivation and someone to help make me do it so this would be perfect to give me a sense of achievement, get back some fitness so i can run around lots with the kids and reignite my fitness regime after many years away from one.
I need Bootcamp, I just can't stay motivated on my own. I need to lose weight for health problems, but it's just so hard, I love food and reading and bushwalking but not "real" exercise quite as much!
Baby number 3 arrived this year
Time to move and get my butt into gear
Say goodbye to the baby weight
And have my wobbly bits no longer shake!

I've just decided that enough is enough - it's not about my waistline or even fitting in my old clothes, it's about confidence! I want to feel fabulous again... this year will be my Cinderella rags-to-riches style body transformation, and the Move It Bootcamp would be my fairy godmother and happily ever after rolled into one!
