We don't stop squatting because we grow old ~ 101 !

If my legs could talk - they be arrested.
If you came here looking for advice and squat love - you'll be disappointed.

My own fault  one dozen too many squats.
I yearn for the good old days ...

Ps I found this cool old girl band called Diddly squat ..they took up music in their middle ages . So catchy and unique.

Ouch, I can feel your pain Trish. I really do need to get back into more regular weights sessions and that includes the dreaded leg session. Right now it is yoga all the way - 5 days a week and mostly hot yoga, including a session of yoga with weights (they are only light but they make a difference). I feel really fit, but must admit there is something every satisfying, if incredibly painful, about a hard session of squats!

Have you any advice Kathy about a good yoga program I can do at home - via you tube. I like 20km out of town but I'm keen to start practicing at home before I commit to a class with my fellow dragon boaters.
Squats are a killer, particularly when you first implement them into your training program, but once your legs strengthen it's so great for your legs! I used to do them with a fit ball against my back on a wall to help provide stability, gradually introducing some light hand weights. But at 35 weeks pregnant, I can't say I have been doing a great deal of squats lately :) But it's something I will eventually need to get back into once bubs arrives. For the moment it's just some gentle yoga at home for me and later I hope to return to my usual hatha class.

Ouchies. Identify with these, even though I haven't done squats for yonks due to a post childbirth injury. I really should find a substitute though. I think my bum and thighs need a workout.
I tried that challenge you sent me, and after three days I could barely move! I was like an old lady! You should have seen me try to run after one of the kids; my friend flat out laughed at me! It was so bad!!
