Wordless Wednesday : Even when we grow up, we can still whisper

our wishes upon the wind, as a child does in innocence, breathing their wishes at a dandelion ...

Some see weeds I choose wishes

and a little boy's grubby fingers clutching hope
PS: Free dandelions - we have hundreds in our paddock !

My kids love them! My littlest Tornado is 5 and just can't get blowing them, drives her nuts! I try to tell her one day she'll get it lol

I love them and so do the girls. They are beautiful to photograph and the joy that Punky gets out of playing with them makes my heart sing. It's the one thing I don't mind about Dave not mowing very often!

Gorgeous photos! My Miss H told me the other day that she doesn't like them because the wishes don't ever come true. I asked her what she wished for and she said 'a long time ago I wished I could go to school and I STILL had to keep going to pre-school' Bless her xx

Beautiful photo's Trish! Sadly, I haven't seen dandelions in many years in suburban Brisbane! I remember when I was a kid we would see them and I thought they were Santa's helpers checking on all the kids to see who is being naughty or nice :-) xo

We were always told that if you could blow off all the 'tihings' in one breath without drawing in another one the wish you made would come true! It's not as easy as it sounds!!!!! xx

I used to love making wishes on these. I never even realised they were weeds! Clearly I'm still looking at the world through my childhood.
