Milo Moustache turns 80 { Royal Easter Show Giveaway }

Let all raise our glasses and milk mustaches to MILO .
Milo is an Australian icon.

My boys love MILO summer and winter...this MILO munching was unauthorised.

Australian food engineer Thomas Mayne, is honoured with the creation of Milo for Nestlé. It was first unveiled at the 1934 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

This year, to celebrate Milo's 80th anniversary, they are returning to the place where it all began ; recreating the original 1934 Easter Show MILO Bar at this year’s show. The MILO Bar will provide visitors with a refreshing glass of MILO, and share some of the interesting history behind the brand.

Now loved and enjoyed both at home and abroad, MILO is sold in 40 countries world-wide. MILO is still produced at the original production plant in Smithtown, a small regional town on the NSW mid-north coast.

To celebrate we will be visiting the Easter Show to experience the MILO Bar and then enjoy everything else the show has to offer.

80 years old?! really! Would love to visit the Easter Show one day - will have to plan ahead for it I think and make the trip up from Melbourne. The Milo bar sounds like a super cool idea - no doubt the crowds are going to love that one xx Josefa #teamIBOT

We used to have it lots as kids, mainly hot when it was cold on the farm. I liked it nice and sweet with two sugars! Haven't had it for years, and haven't even got the kids into it yet - shame on me!
Ah Milo, the stuff of childhood memories! I think my fave part was the way the chocolate crumbly bits floated to the top when mixed with cold milk, I always hated when Mum dissolved them in boiling water before making milkshakes as it spoiled all the fun!

I love, love LOVE milo! I never even bother to make it properly with milk anynore, I jus eat it straight from the can! When I was a teenager my Aunty used to say that the reason myself and my two cousins had such clear skin was because of all the milo that we ate, we were all such addicts and it was the one thing we all had in common.
OMG! I love milo! I eat it from the can.

How awesome that Milo is an Australian invention! I grew up with milo as well. I even sprinkled it on my toast for breakfast sometimes. I really liked that picture showing what the original packaging used to look like.
