You're My Cup of Tea {Giveaway}

*sob* I'm sad my favourite mug is broken. I have one of 4 left.
My favourite treat is when my beloved brings me a cup of tea in bed, first thing in the morning.

Before I have to get up, and start thinking about school lunches, socks and lost library books or permission notes or anything else I needed to do ...yesterday !

I was to'tea'lly delighted when I received a little hamper of Fairtrade tea.

I love the little infuser for one - available on Tielka website
Tea! thou soft, thou sober, sage, and venerable liquid,... thou female tongue-running, smile-smoothing, heart-opening, wind-tippling cordial, to whose glorious insipidity I owe the happiest moment of my life, let me fall prostrate.  ~Colley Cibber, Lady's Last Stake

I drink all kinds of tea , my favourite is a mug of strong Australian Afternoon for breakfast and English Breakfast all during the day (I'm a bit of a tea rebel) and lots of green tea. Green tea is ultra healthy and filled to the brim with antioxidants, so I'm trying to drink more of it . Plus organic tea is my tea of choice.

I have a lovely purple teapot and the nifty tea infuser above for leaf tea , though often I'm too impatient to use leaves.

I like Chai tea but I'm not drinking much milk right now - so it's a rare treat.
All tea is good for you.

It was Fairtrade Fortnight ~ May 4 – 19th - creating awareness and the opportunity to support Fairtrade products. I'm trying to be more conscious about what I buy.

Fairtrade have provided this fabulous giveaway of 3 tea hampers, for My Little Drummer Boy Readers.

What is Fairtrade
...is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, by requiring companies to pay sustainable prices ,which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives and their community through better schooling and improved health services.

I'm curious -
Do you prefer a cup or a mug ?
Do you use a Teapot ?
Do you Jiggle or Dangle ?

Who wants to knit me a tea cosy ?

Includes the beautiful glass Tielka teapot

oh I love a good cup of tea.. I was never a big tea drinking but when I gave up coffee about 8 years ago I needed a 'warm drink' replacement and so started with a black tea with milk and one small sugar. I have now ditched the sugar and branched out with my flavours. I love my green tea with lemon myrtle in the mornings and a nice cammomile or something similar at night. I treat myself whenever I meet friends for 'coffee' and have a Chai latte which I always drink way too fast! I tend to drink more during the winter than the summer for probably obvious reasons and I am more of a dunk dunk dunk squeeze tea bag drinker than a teapot drinker but will if someone makes it for me!

My favourite cup of tea moment goes back to spending school holidays with my Nan & Pop when it was my job to make the pot of tea and arrange the biscuits on the plate for smoko. They would let me have a very milky tea which I used to dunk numerous biscuits in until Nan would give me that look and put the lid back on the biscuit tin. I continue to enjoy my tea milky but without the biscuit dunking, and I always smile and remember my beautiful Nan :)

I'm luckily experiencing one of those blissful moments right now. The children are fast asleep, the TV has been turned off and my hubbie has made me a divine mug of Russian Caravan tea. I'm sitting on the lounge, laptop in hand and pondering over how to answer this question. It's so silent I can almost hear the cogs in my mind asking 'milk or not with my cuppa'. The red silohette of the flames is reflecting off the walls as I'm daydreaming, watching the flickering flames of the wood fire. Ahh!! I'll just linger over my cuppa for a bit longer before I come up with an answer.

Any time my cup of tea is HOT is my favourite. With two little ones it doesn't happen often.

I walk through the door at my Mother's house & the first thing she always says is :"I'll just pop the kettle on!" This tells me I am welcome, loved and in for a catch up on all the gossip. Dare I say it - better than chocolate!!
Having a cup of tea with my Mum is the best!!
Mum and I had afternoon tea on the HMS Britannia in Edinburgh last year!
We sat where the royal family would have had many cups of tea and felt like queens ourselves!

Hello Trish, my favourite cup of tea is the one in bed that myhusband brings me. It's a mug actually, a vast vat of Earl grey tea. Because I went to Scotland, and he works away, I've only seen him for ten days int he past three months. That's 10 mugs of tea. He'll be back a week on Saturday and the tea he brings me on the Sunday will be the bestest, bestest cup.

The toddler's asleep, the kids are at school
Afternoon nap, time for a brew.
Take a breather, gather my thoughts
Enjoy the peace, it's rarely sought.
A cup of tea after the littlies are in bed is my way of relaxing at the end of a busy day ..... well, relaxing until it's time to go pick up the teens from their various activities.

You can have chai tea without the milk. I made my own chai syrup once from this recipe http://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipe/chai-tea-syr...
It says to use the syrup with warm milk (which is nice) but it tastes good too with just water.
At the moment my favourite cup of tea is the one I get to finish with out if going cold :-)
I love tea.
I prefer a mug, the bigger the better.
I rarely use a tea pot (time is of the essence) but I have a good collection of them. As I do loose leaf tea, which I rarely have time for either :-)
I am neither a jiggler or a dangler as I leave my tea bag in my mug.
My recent post My Favourite Things… ahh, the little things
My favorite cup of tea moment is first thing in the morning, especially if the kids are still asleep! I jiggle my tea in a mug, bigger the better! Funnily enough my hubby loves a tea cup. If I could knit Trish, I would knit you a tea cosy!

That first cuppa of a morning, while the house is still silent and before the babies are awake (but will be soon!), sipping it while I gather my thoughts for the day ahead.
Whenever I drink a cup of tea it brings me straight back to my time living in England, where a pot of tea was a must! Whenever I'd visit anyone a pot was quickly brought out to the table (and I swear they are super large, bottomless pots over there!). It's these cups of tea moments that I think most fondly about.
Whereas nowadays with a young child I'm lucky to manage to make myself one and drink it all!
My absolute fave tea moment follows exercise, showering, child care drop off, tram ride then I plonk my bag down at my desk first thing, after what already feels like a long day, delicately scoop my precious English Breakfast leaves into a little mesh ball cradled by my favourite mug, stir in a bit of milk and then relax in my chair at work. The tea suddenly reminds me to breathe and relax.....before I 'start' my day.

A fair trade tea hamper sounds devine!
I don't really have a favourite. I love how there is a tea available for however I am feeling at the time.
I prefer my tea brewed in a pot. In the morning and nights I'd prefer a mug. For morning tea I love a cup.
I jiggle and I dangle.

Right now I am savouring a cup of english breakfast (made in a pot) while my munchkin sleeps and I knit. :)
Which just happens to be my favourite moment.

The best cuppa of my day is one that I have in peace, around 9pm when the kids are all tucked up in bed. I know some say you shouldn't have tea that late, but it relaxes me after a busy day...I have my feet up and might also have a bit of chocolate to go with it too!

I actually don't drink tea, (except the odd cup of herbal lemon and honey tea when my throat has a tickle), but my parents are the biggest tea drinkers I know.
Every morning, my dad gets up and makes mum the first cuppa of the day; she drinks it in bed. I remember her doing this when I was a child (30 years ago!)
Then throughout the day, they make each other cups of tea. It always amazes me that they never tire of it, even on very hot days they will still drink tea. I love when they come over for a visit and they have a cuppa and a chat. Its really nice to just be with them and enjoy their company.

My favourite cup of tea moment is when the kids leave me in peace long enough to drink it while it's still hot!!!!

For me tea needs to be good quality, organic if I can get it, and loose leaf as the taste is so much better. I compare tea bags to instant coffee, an ok substitute but nothing like the real stuff.

My favourite tea moment is when I can sit and relax while sipping away on my favourite brew, flicking through a mag....without hearing the word MUM uttered once!

I love a hot cup of Earl Grey tea, splash of milk, leave the tea bag in, give me a gossip mag, comfy chair and no kids and I'm as happy as a pig in mud!

My favourite cup of tea moment happens towards the end of the day, after I have finished work, picked up the kids, been to what ever sport they are playing that afternoon, cooked tea and tidied the kitchen-then I sit down with a well deserved cup of tea and relaz.
