July 26th - August 2ndIt's hard to believe it is still Winter in Sydney. Today after church we spent the afternoon in ~Charlotte's~ garden. It was a beautiful day.
Some people only dream of angels, I cradled one in my hands.
Some people only dream of angels, I cradled one in my hands.You will see my tiny footprints, in the rustle of the leaves. I will whisper names into the wind, and call each one that grieves.
Most of all, these tiny footprints, are found in mummy's heart, cause even though I'm gone now, we'll never truly part.
Each of the more than dozen roses in Charlotte's garden was given to us in love and in remembrance by family and friends.

I feel sad to cut away the old and dead ,woody stems ... new life and colour will follow
Warning do not dress small boys in white to church when sausage sandwiches and sauce is on offer.That is dirt on his face and new glasses.
We also hacked down the Potato vine ...completely.OMG was a mammoth effort it was. About 25m along the two fences and it was growing 3m high into the neighbours trees. It is still a mess.

You wouldn't recognise it from a few weeks ago ...it is so bear and empty.
It looks so sad but the roses will grow ...I hope.

I understand now about your rose pruning! They must be very special to you and yes, its hard to cut them back so brutally but when they grow and flower again its all worth it. I still haven't done mine but you have reminded me its a job that needs doing!
