Carol of the Drum

What a week it's been.
I went to Oprah last Saturday night - budget tickets and a rear view but her words filled the Arena and it was spellbinding . I'm still trying to grasp what she said and apply it.

I'm riding waves of emotion with a lot of sadness.

It has been a very heavy week for friends, one diagnosed with Breast cancer and some special people whose facebook pages I follow - news you don’t even know how to grasp !

How do you even ...
Loving Lachlan a precious little boy with a deadly brain cancer whose family is preparing for the worse.

This is one of my favourite 'Carol of the Drum' by Christine Anu

 Boney M

I heart this Little Drummer Boy - Pentatonix

ABBA

This is very different on snare

My own little Drummer boys hae their own (formerly older Bro's) drums and I'm expecting them to belt out a few tunes soon.

This was thought provoking...
What if the statement “Dance to the beat of your own drum” actually refers to going after what you want in life and achieving your dreams? Dancing is making movement in relation to the vibrations As the drums beat reaches you it drives the movements.
What is your favourite Christmas Carol ?

Oprah was amazing at her Perth show. I wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind though for a lot of her words of wisdom. I may need to revisit my notes after Christmas.

I know you have been under a stress with your daughter.
I was a bit the same , had a minor meltdown about meeting my friend who had the tickets and almost didn't go because I misinterpreted her sms to me not replying to message (a week before) about sending them to me instead. I thought she was having a go at me. I almost cried in the car as we were travelling 4-5hrs down to go.
It's my own health that is really stressing me at the moment. Actually it's not stress more like grief. This seems to be as good as it is going to get at the moment and I'm barely managing day to day. So when Oprah started preaching about purpose (in her own gorgeous and infectious way) I just didn't want to hear it.

Google Elizabeth Gilbert Quotes (by images) , less preachy than Oprah ;) but some real gems in fewer words. I am going to print a few out or post -it note them for a little daily dose.
I am jealous at Oprah. All I have heard are amazing things and I wish I could have seen her. #IBOT team

Merry Christmas Pinky - I love the snow songs but laugh when I sing them. A white christmas is on my list (maybe Tassie they had snow last week)
I'm fond of Feliz Navidad, a feel-good song that just makes me want to smile and dance or wiggle. O Holy Night when sung properly always gives me goose bumps x

I do like Feliz Navidad, too. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas Janet. Thanks for linking up.
Sorry things haven't been great for your friends Trish. I hope they get some kind of Christmas miracle. xx
I never heard a Christmas carol I didn't like and I'm pea green with envy about Oprah. Getting a ticket to one of her shows is about as cool as winning a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory!
