Is it bad that all I can think is how dusty it would be?!

Underfoot yes, but not so much generally the fence was high and it was in the middle of the arena mostly - though they did bolt near the fence directly in front of us. So close we could possible have touched the beast (through the fence).
Beautiful creatures aren't they? I love that close-up of the rider, Trish :)

I have only been on a horse a few times , though I do admire them and think them gorgeous animals.
That looks like so much fun, I used to be a real 'horsey' gal.... had to give them up when we moved, I really miss it sometimes...
That looks like so much fun! Probably not for me though cos last time I attempted to ride a horse I went up one side and over the other and faceplanted on the ground, then my mum made me get back up for a photo on the horse and I'm all upset in the photo. Haven't even attempted getting back on a horse since.

Wow, that looks so cool, I love watching horses at work.
Wow that looks like fun!! I used to do stuff similar to that when I was a kid and we were living out at Mitchell (western Qld country). I was in the pony club and did all kinds of fun stuff. I had no fears as a kid. I have lots of fears now sadly! Lol

that's a whole new world and I have no idea what camp drafting even is... But I like those boots.

Great running captures!
Camp drafting is so cool. I'm always so impressed with how well the horses and riders work together, it's fascinating to watch.
What a lovely looking day out. Great photos.

I'm always in awe of how at ease these riders are... I've never been much of a horse girl despite the fact we grew up with them, and my sister had one. I do love cows though! x
This is what my nieces practise the most. The barrel part anyway. Think they would like their own heifer to draft!
