Whole Kids {Giveaway} and packing lunchboxes with love.

Recently, we sent a generous sample of Whole Kids range of 22 certified organic, additive-free, allergen-friendly snack foods.

Parents can breathe easy knowing that they are giving their child real food that doesn’t contain any nasties.

There are many ways to pack love and smiles into a lunchbox and feeding them healthy food is just one way.

Credit check out these ideas.

The Whole Kids range of organic corn chips, popcorn, sultanas, fruit bars and juice is GMO free with no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, allergens, synthetic pesticides and herbicides, and is packaged in FSA accredited BPA-free packaging.

Developed in consultation with more than 300 parents, as well as dieticians at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital, the products meet the new guidelines for products distributed through hospitals.

My boys enjoyed the snacks over  two-three weeks and gave them the stamp of approval -

Their website has healthy lunchbox ideas too.

"You're the best Mummy !"  { haha Music to my ears}

" Can you buy these again MUM ?"

" MUM Are there any more corn chips ?"

"Did you go shopping MUM - I like that yummy popcorn for recess ?"

"Mum, I gave some to my friend, he likes them too - can I take him a packet " {Sultana and Apricots snacks}

Whole Kids Organic Corn Chips have a big cheesy taste made from all-natural seasoning without any nature-identical flavours. The deliciously crunchy corn chips are made with organic wholegrain stone ground corn and organic non-hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Whole Kids Organic Popcorn is air-popped to help retain the corn’s fibre.
Whole Kids Organic Sultanas and Apricots are a combination of naturally sun-ripened sultanas and apricots that are free from sulphites, typically added to apricots during processing to retain their orange colour.
Whole Kids Organic Fruit Bars are based on three organic fruit combinations that are oven baked (not fried) in a nut-free bakery.

Whole Kids Organic Frooshie fruit smoothies are available in six different flavours based on real organic fruit mixed with organic vegies, honey, wholegrain quinoa and rice flakes, with no added sugar.{ These were the least favourite only because the boys prefer whole fruit}
Whole Kids Organic Juice range is based on Australian certified organic apples, mixed with blackcurrant, and pear, to create three flavour combinations that kids will love.

I try not to add too many packaged foods to my kids' lunchboxes but some days when I check FB for too long you are in a hurry - it makes for less screaming- mine- and hassles and everyone gets out the door on time. I trust the Whole Kids brand and I know the snacks won't be wasted and nor my money.

Plus - I don't have to give them coins for canteen and it saves tears when they inevitably lose said coins.
Every.
Time.
Almost , one or the brother does.

It's enough that they lose lunchboxes, or someone else takes them home.Though lovely , when the mum sends me this note back !

I didn't even notice.
I found Pinterest has hundreds of ideas to pack a little more love in their lunchboxes.

Whole Kids products can be found online, Thomas Dux, IGA Supermarkets, Caltex, BP, 7-Eleven, school canteens and hospitals, or by calling 1300 099 744.

You can also Win 1 of 3 Whole Kids Packs containing everything in the range - valued at $60 each.

For your chance to win - tell me what you have or would write on a lunchbox note to your child - a picture, a joke, a compliment ?

I have left hints for birthday scavenger hunts in my eldest's lunchboxes when he was at school.

He loved it because all his friends were trying to help him! ;)

I love the idea of a lunchbox note that contained a clue as to what fun activity that he/she would get to enjoy after school. For example: unscramble the letters (or solve the riddle) to work out: who is coming to visit, what game they will be playing ....

Poppy's at four year old kinder next year and I'm already planning notes for her snack box. Affirmations and things we love about her. I also thought little pictures and comic strips would be fun. Her smiles are worth it.

I was going to say I would write I love you a whole lot and a little comment about enjoying the day etc. but the scavenger hunt idea sounds much more fun. Ha..

I have to say that for my girl's first day at school next year, she'll be Grade 1, I will be writing her a simple note, that she can read. It will say.
I love you
You can do it!
Love you Mumma

As a working Mumma with odd hours I often have to write a reminder of who will be doing pick up or where I will be when the bell goes!

I would use these fruit notes http://www.skiptomylou.org/wp-content/uploads/200...
I think they are a fun and would encourage the kids to eat their healthy lunch box fruits first!

"Seth, this is the future you. Make sure you eat all your lunch, or you won't grow big and strong".
My husband wrote "have a goobalicious day" on a note in my son's lunchbox! He loved it.
Eat your crusts! I'll know if you don't :)
If you eat all of your lunch, there's an extra special dessert waiting for you at home tonight <3 u xx
I leave little smiley face letters with a coupon for an extra big hug and treat when they get home and being five and seven they always need one after a big day at school.
When l am away for work, l leave notes to go in their lunch box just reminding them that l miss them and love them and to have a fabulous day
My son loves his sandwich in different shapes so I use the octopus whale sandwich cutter for preschool and add little notes like I don't bite eat me all up :-)

"Please Place your Rubbish in the bin as the food police are watching you keep the world a cleaner place"
It's a running joke in our house (with mostly teens plus a toddler) that I should write "we moved house today while you were at school", seriously though I love writing "mum loves you" in huge letters on a note in the high schoolers lunch boxes so their friends see it when they open it!

I will write a note on the top of the lunch box with "After finishing mum's cooking you will find something sweet" and another note on the bottom of lunch box with "You did it! You're the best!" or "mum loves you, you're my good boy".
I like to be a bit creative - my daughter has a communal fruit basket for her morning tea at school so to label her banana I like to draw pictures. Sometimes I do nursery rhymes, and her favouriter is Hey Diddle Diddle - I draw a cat playing a fiddle, a cow jumping over a moon, a little dog, and a dish running away with the spoon!

I make my own lunch notes for my son's lunch box. Its mostly funny lines relating to the fruit i give him & a cartoon pic of that fruit from a magazine..

Lunch note with Apple as fruit in lunch - you are the apple of my eye.

lunch note with banana as fruit in snack - Lets go bananas , even if you are not in pyjamas.

I love to put jokes in, they always give my girls a giggle. What's a pirate's favourite letter? Rrrr
I always bag or wrap items with recess, lunch etc written on the warp and sign it off with a Love You xxxoooxxx
Dear Ava
I've used multi-grain as you suggested;
Frozen the mango yoghurt as requested;
Ditched the salad you claim goes icky;
But included Nanna's cake, gooey'n sticky;
Oh, and while enjoying your lunch please be advised...
That tomorrow's lunch-maker will pint-sized!
Love Mummy xxx
