What does the ELF do ? The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps...

For all those playing along with the Kindness elf or Elf on the Shelf - this is so cute.
A fun advent activity for kids. It folds a bit like a paper plane.

I prefer turned down version.

You can get a really elegant looking Elf Boot  , depending on the napkin you use. Then fill the pocket or top with a chocolate ball, place names, candy canes or joke on a slip of paper.
You will get a much better result with large napkin , mine was too small.

The is the closest we'll ever get to making snowmen at Christmas - a cute DYI snowman - sewn or glued.

I need to find our ELF DVD copy , a family fun Christmas Movie.

What is your favourite Christmas movie ?

Actually very quick to make and I am going to surprise my boys :) with them.
I've only just come to know about his Elf on the Shelf business, will have to do it next year. My fave Christmas movie is Santa Claus with Dudley Moore. I've made an advent calendar for my son using toilet paper rolls covered with christmas material and turned them into gift boxes containing little surprises.

The Elf on shelf is very quirky , do anything you like but we are just moving them around and not doing naughty things this year.
I started saving the empty rolls but gave up , my hubby kept throwing them out. I do want to make my own Bon bons with them though.
We don't have an elf, or an advent calendar, I am terribly unorganised. We have made some crafty decorations for our tree and nannas tree(which was pathetically bare lol). My favourite christmas movie would have to be the lampoons christmas with Chevy Chase, I have been meaning to find some good ones to watch with the kids though that they will be into, I will have to go searching on the net, for some good ones :)
My recent post Garden goings on
That is so clever. I wonder if I am capable of that? It would make a nice alternative to bon-bon/crackers on the table and actually put things in the boot that people want!

Seriously , they are very easy. I'm thinking of that too. Office works have some great little stationary items.
