In the great nation of Emperor Penguins, deep in Antarctica, you're nobody unless you can sing - which is unfortunate for Mumble, who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune... tap dancing.Happy Feet Two is the sequel to Happy Feet an Australian-American 3D computer-animated family musical film directed by George Miller, who also co-directed the original film Happy Feet.
The movie was produced in Sydney, featuring Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hugo Weaving, Magda Szubanski and Anthony LaPaglia reprising their roles from Happy Feet.
It is such a fun movie , Happy Feet 2 returns audiences to the magnificent landscape of Antarctica in superb 3D with eye popping animations.
The Master of Tap, the ever loving Mumble, has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Erik struggling to find HIS talent and reluctant to dance, runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven . Sven -is a rare penguin who can fly - a charismatic new role model for impressionable Erik.
Mumble has no hope of competing with the mighty Sven. Things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures-from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals-to put things right. Erik realises his father's "guts and grit".
Erik, through opera, commends his father for his bravery and eventually gets the Elephant seals to help Mumble rescue the trapped Emperor Penguins. The songs are catchy and the animations are very entertaining.
My five year olds were captivated , so was I. It is a great family movie with a few one liners
"Fluff off"
"Tear you a new nostril"
I was so impressed with the PR initiative in adopting a real life Penguin in my name - very out of the box thinking.
My boys enjoyed going to school and telling their classmates all about adopting a Penguin from Sydney Aquarium.
