Warning ...

humorous pictures
see more crazy cat pics

I don't know if I mentioned it before but SHE DID !

My MIL lived with us (in a Granny flat) for over 6 years. Before that almost 6 months we lived under the same roof . We bought a block of land and were building - somehow we were building her a GF too.

Short story was DH finished our home and her new Granny flat .

We had interconnecting garage doors ... one day we forgot to dead latch/bolt the interconnecting door before an afternoon 'nap' while the little one was napping ...DH heard her footsteps down the hallway. She didn't catch us.

We get along well now.

Have you ever been sprung ?

That picture is AWESOME! And totally what I needed to see today!
Don't know how you survived for 6 years. I'm flat out going 6 minutes without committing a crime.

Amanda - if she does she would tell me OMG I hope she doesn't ever find it. touch wood!!I try to be careful and write mild stuff.

Alison - LOL it took all my energy from dawn to dusk (when she went to bed) or we closed the blinds ... imagine relaxing in the pool on a sunny afternoon and she nags me incessantly about taking the clothes off the line because the sun is fading them ...not just once either.

I guess she wasn't too bad - she still comes to visit every fortnight or so.

For the first couple of weeks after we got married my hubby and I lived at his parents place. His parents bedroom was downstairs so we had the two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom to ourselves. Blessed privacy, or so I thought.

One night - very late at night I might add - his Dad wandered up stairs. Lord only knows why, he must have wanted to talk to us about something. Anyways we were ahmm otherwise engaged and did not realise his Dad had ventured into our territory. Sometime later hubby left our bedroom and wandered naked into the other upstairs bedroom, only to discover his father asleep on the couch in there.

Creepy.

He'd obviously decided to wait until we were finished to talk to us and fallen asleep.

LOL, MILs are sent to make us better, more patient people.
Six years is a long time to be patient, Trish.

I LOVE my MIL, but we only lived with them for about a month, and that was PLENTY long. No, we're weren't ever interupted...except by our own kids!

OMG... I can't decide which would be worse; busted by MIL or the kids? *shudders*

Oh my GAWD this was hilarious. It gave me permasmirk because (a) I can relate and (b) MIL's can just really suck the donkey!

We got busted by child.

I think allowing the MIL to bust you would be an excellent move - she would certainly ring or knock in the future, wouldn't she? And if she wouldn't, that is PROOF that you don't want her within access distance!
