Scatterbrain Sunday ,Awards and a new Australian Anthem

Okay - no, it isn't a new meme but because of my scatterbrain I have been neglecting my paying in forward Awards. So if I have forgotten any of you forgive me ...
As is the custom when you present medals of honour ... let the national Anthem begin -Advance Australian Fair - with apologies to my international recipients.

This version of Advance Australia Fair is hysterical -Adam Hill is very funny and what a buzz it would be to see it as Beijing Olympics - which according to link I read on Rodney Olsen 'Who’ll stop the rain?'

... that authorities in Beijing have successfully managed to stop light rainfall in experiments aimed at guaranteeing a dry opening ceremony for the Olympic Games

Imagine that !
It is pouring again today in Sydney or was.

I digress bring on the awards... pass the envelop please

I wasn't sure about this award I found the information here at Me and my Drum - what a coinicidence -
To accommodate a variety of blog themes, I have created three different “flavors” of badges: Creamy Cabernet, Midnight Oil, and Pink Smoothie.

Be The Blog award I like the blueberry tart best a new one.
The originator wrote ...
Earlier this year I was tagged with the blogging tip meme in which the tip I offered was “Be the Blog“. That phrase stuck with me because I think that really sums up what a successful blogger does. And what I mean by successful is that they make it their own, stay with it, are interactive with their readers, and just plain have fun.

Since then I’ve been thinking about creating an award of my own, but with so many out there, it’s hard to find a niche that remains untapped for recognition. So I said, “What the heck?”, and decided to shape the phrase into an award called (you guessed it): Be The Blog.

Jayne Our Great Southland - a daily fun but very informative trivial history blog.I always get a laugh and learn something.
Sue @Sueblimely - her very informative blog on blogging .
Meg @ Dipping into the Blogpond her very informative blog on blogging and everything else
Andrew @ Facibus on Blogging Australia his extensive blog on blogging and bloglife
Megan @ Imaginif- blogging Child protection and safety
Leigh @ Crazy Meezer-also the founder of All for Women
Kelley @ Magnetoboldtoo - with humour and tears she talks about her life with Boo, austism and chocolate, coffee and shoes.

I sincerely hope I have not forgotten any of my dear readers ... a sincere thank you to those who passed on an award to me - it is an understatement to say I appreciate each and everyone of these great awards!

I visit so many sites -some daily some less frequently and there are so many deserving of awards and one day I hope I will have the chance to pass on future awards to anyone that I did not remember this time.

It has taken me a while so I will be back later with my Weekly Winners - my husband is less impressed - because I should be vacuuming !
