I have two little money grubbers who suck up anything resembling a gold or silver coin and quickly stash it in their pockets or their money box.
They call 5c ...five dollars and they think they can read the numbers in the shops -
"Mum it's only 5c" (Actually $5)
Now, they can read the new loose change menu and they know what 30 c or $1 buys !
You can't buy much for 30 c or even $1 now but at McDonald's a little loose change goes a long, long way with the new Loose Change menu. I honestly can't believe the soft serve cones are still only 30c ....
McDonald's celebrated the launch with some Augmented Reality challenges fun. It didn't take long to entice people into playing for loose change ( or rather $15 iTunes card and the opportunity to win a serious $1000 in loose change).
It was hilarious watching and we got involved too . A cold wet day in Sydney had no shortage of onlookers and willing
With the coins you find between the cushions on your couch , down behind the car seats or that jingle in the jacket you haven't worn since last winter - you could be feasting on the Loose Change menu.
Nothing over $2 sounds awesome to me when I am on the run and I want a QUICK snack for the kids (or even me).
There is something for everyone with 7 favourites for under $2 ...hot , cold , sweet and even a salad ...yes I really buy their garden salad ... it's fresh , crisp and what value!!
I admit I buy the crispy Chicken burger but with no cheese or mayo ; I love you can still customise your Chicken burger to suit your taste or waist.
My boys love the fries as a treat and soft serve cones at very cool price. They are lovin' being independent and going to order it themselves.
Sure , I have friends who deny they actually eat fast food but they can't run from the fact I spy the telltale brown bags on the floor of their car ... so I know it isn't just a salad they are nom noming on.
PS - for a chance to win $10,000 be sure to watch the video - be quick because it closes 18th May
