Lego Ninjago & DS Giveaway

My 4.5 yr olds love playing 'real' life Ninjas courtesy of some* television show. I have no idea what they watch sometimes.

It's either Ninjas, Magical Tales or Handy Manny or ABC2(4).... on an endless loop.

My littler boys are just learning about battles and armies. Their 17yr brother  has introduced them to a number of 'Adventure and Battle' games (yay ! [insert sarcasm font]) though they don't quite get it yet.
The latest Lego craze is Ninjas ~ LEGO® Ninjago.

If playing with little Lego construction men isn't enough for your ninjas, read on...

To celebrate the release LEGO® Ninjago, Warner Brothers Games offered me one copy of LEGO® Ninjago DS videogame to give away to a reader of My Little Drummer Boys. It's based on the best-selling LEGO range.

LEGO® Ninjago does have a PG rating -mild violence (according to the image I got from Internet).
Gamers are thrown into the midst of an exciting adventure where heroes can build a personalised army, battle enemies and become a master of Spinjitzu as they recover powerful ninja weapons and restore the world's harmony.
Along the way ...
gamers encounter dragons, heroic Ninja battles and learn to master Spinjitzu – an art form in which players spin into a turbulent tornado to defeat enemies.
True to the LEGO build-and-play video game experience, gamers can create and upgrade Hero units and deploy troops on exciting missions while using spells to unleash special attacks on enemies.
Play opportunities are endless ... with 6 battle modes (only 4 in multi play).

As well gamers can test their skills in single-player adventures or a supreme gamer can challenge a friend in multi player showdown as they battle for world domination (assuming the challenger has their own DS wireless multi-card play) to become a Ninja legend in LEGO® Ninjago.

Gamers also get to unlock Hidden Heroes from their favorite LEGO construction set to cast special attacks!

Sound exciting ...
wait there's more ...

No, it doesn't come with free steak knives or swords to practice their Ninja skills

- but it does come with a new Nintendo DS Game Console to play LEGO® Ninjago video game on.

Though , I think my littler gamers will still be very content to play with the Lego Ninjago men construction sets they might score for their upcoming 5th birthday.

I would love Lego to invest in some more girl themed options. How about a butterfly, cupcake, rainbow, fairy or ballet dancing option. Stereotype or not, but no matter what I give them my girls and all our girl visitors play nothing other than 'pink' play.

Come on Lego!

I actually love playing CSI on our PS3. Most games these days involve racing stupid make believe cars or shooting people, but CSI actually makes you think and you have to use your brain!

I think that some girl inspired lego would be good, just like Clairey suggests. Maybe we could have some fairy lego.
My favourite game when I was a kid was Donkey Kong. Not that I ever got to play it. I just love watching my cousin play it. I had Snoopy Tennis which was fun too but it was no Donkey Kong. Another one I liked but never owned was Oil Spill. Does anyone remeber that game?
It was cool.

I follow you everywhere ;P

Hi Trish, I am a new GFC follower (S. Franssen). I know it sounds silly but my twins absolutely love Grandpa in my pocket, and as he does go on quite a few adventures I think he might make a surprisingly good video game! 'Not the shrinking cap grandpa', I can hear the twins say it, they think he is a true hero. The only way he could be any better is if there were two of him, because the twins are having trouble sharing atm.

My kids & I love the Lego Batman game, it is such a hoot. The kids paticularly like how silly Robin is. It would be great to see some more girl friendly games... more about building/making/rescuing rather than destroying. The movie Tangled was fun for all, maybe that kind of thing?

I loved 'Winter Games' on Apple 2 C when I was a kid. Not sure if it was the orange or green version but it felt very high tech back in the day.

We didn't really have video games when I was a kid so I don't have a favourite one (ok, donkey kong & pacman were around but that's about it). Mr 6 (almost 7) has one though. His would be Emergency mayhem which he insists be called Emergency Manthem for reasons best known to himself.

Oh & I already "like" your facebook page :) I can like it twice as much though :)
