We know most of our neighbours and I am sure that everyone within a 3km radius of where we lives knows the monsters. Our road frontage is width of car basically.So we rarely see anyone unless we stop to get the mail and they are outside.<br />*Waves* count as neighbourly - though I would only recognise two sets of neighbours (ones down one full side who gift us vegies ocassionally) and front ones who have boys 8 & 10 ...also been there longert than us.<br />The teenage/young 20's girls next door (after we have been 6.5yrs here) I wouldn't recognise if I saw them - only seen them from distance - teenage son might :).<br />I know their stupid dog though - little dirty white yappy thing.<br /><br />@Christie - once or thrice is a year is as good as it gets with that lady neighbour.I chat to her hubby more (only when my hubby is there too).<br />It's good you have lovely neighbours. We have t...Great welcome to a comment description!<br /><br />We have two girls and are always talking about trying something new.<br />The neighbour one is topical for us as we recently escaped the cyclone up here in Cairns and with all the fences down and broken trees, it was great to meet the neighbours.<br /><br />These days society is so anaesthatised we all stay within our comfort zones. They're all different neighbours to the ones who were here when we moved in, but I try to keep to myself as they're quite grumpy. <br />Our newest neighbour is a little reclusive and I've only seen him once or twice and spoken to him the once.<br />It is sad that we've lots that sense of community, but I would prefer not to encourage the crazy people nextdoor...
