Eddie The Eagle has landed.

If you saw my photo story below , you'll see how busy we've been. Our combined significant birthday celebration is this weekend.

If home renovations were an Olympic Sport my hubstar would be a gold medal contender.

I've haven't worked so hard in years. Years and years. It's been over a month of cleaning and de-cluttering, washing windows not cleaned since before last Olympics, hunting down dust bunnies and the under the couch detritus of two minions who forget what a bin is for. Hours of oiling the verandah timbers, to do my 1/4 share.

I'm so depleted, consumed by relentless to do lists and at the same time excited at how it's all come together. Those who saw the shed before will be mind blown.

As exhausted as he was , it was worth it . A few laughs with hub as we tried to take a selfie with a new selfie stick #failed. The littliest minion got up the this morning and had the press button thingy figured out in 60secs.

When the boys were tucked in bed last night we sat down to chill in front of the toasty warm fire for a laugh with Eddie the Eagle , the ultimate underdog story.

The hilarious, feel-good story about Michael "Eddie" Edwards (Taron Egerton) was inspired by true events.

EDDIE THE EAGLE  was an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even when everyone was counting him out.

Of course , initially I wanted to see Hugh Jackman playing the  rebellious and charismatic coach .Then I was hooked , cheering Eddie on as he wins the hearts of sports fans across the world and Hugh.

I was gifted these sweaters and I accepted only because the Drummer boys have an awesome buddy named Eddie. Ed has overcome some very significant challenges since his birth. I can't wait to surprise his parents.

Kooky yes ! crazy definitely, I'm not sure what else to do with them. Their family will get a laugh too even if they only wear them at home lol.

Eddie The Eagle is out on Blu-ray and DVD on Wednesday 3 August or check it out here on iTunes.

Leave a comment to tell me why you would love a copy of Eddie the Eagle on itunes.
